A Holiday Happening @ Etcetera, Etcetera

On December 12, 2005, Consolidated Technologies, Inc. held its annual Holiday Party at the popular NYC restaurant, Etcetera, Etcetera. The theme of the event was "Viva La Party," which tied in nicely with CTI's catch phrase for 2005, "Viva La VoIP." It also tied in nicely with the unusual assortment of "special guests" who held court around the perimeter of the room, including Elvis, Paris and Nicole, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Glinda the Good Witch, Will Ferrill as Elf and the Robot from "Lost in Space." The "special guest" characters were also featured in a uniquely-designed mini comic book for the event, which was given to guests when they sat down for dinner. Several CTI company members also found themselves as characters in the comic book, with a story titled "The Wizards of VoIP."

As guests arrived at the party, they were greeted by real-life versions of Austin Powers and one of his Fembots. During the cocktail hour, guests were treated to an assortment of delicious canapes, as well as live piano music by a very swanky lounge lizard.

In addition to the special comic book (created by CTI Marketing Manager Michael Latshaw), each guest also found a "goody bag" on their chair which contained a silver clock shaped like a phone (with a detachable handle that actually rings), a CTI keychain light, a box of customized M&Ms with the taglines "Viva La VoIP" and "Viva La CTI", and a copy of the company Holiday Card, which is a pop-up calendar for 2006. During dinner, guests were entertained with a quartet of carolers, who strolled around the room singing and swaying.

During dinner, CTI President Kenneth Heitner also took the opportunity to congratulate several CTI employees who had recently achieved a new level of Avaya certification (a complete list appears below). Mr. Heitner also gave special "Outstanding Achievement" Awards to four CTI employees who had demonstrated exceptional work, dedication and leadership over the previous year, including Francesca Grande, Steve Bierman, Gerry Supple and Michael Latshaw. The final award of the evening was the coveted Champion Award, which is given to the employee who exemplifies the finest qualities of leadership and professionalism. This year the Champion Award was given to Matt Caccace, whose dedication and skill is consistently praised by customers and colleagues alike.
