Why are companies buying the Avaya strategy for IP Telephony?  


North America: The Bay-area county of Marin, California, is using Avaya IP-based enterprise mobility solutions so that employees and elected officials can access and manage critical business tools by calling a single number and speaking simple voice commands into the phone. The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol improved its ability to respond to emergency conditions with a new Internet protocol (IP)-based Avaya network.  The solution is expected to save the organization thousands of dollars a year over its previous telephony service.  The City of Washington, D.C. is deploying Avaya voice solutions as part of its DCNet initiative to link 30,000 employees in 360 locations
 
CALA: In Mexico, in one of the country’s largest IP telephony implementations to date, Prosa, a company that specializes in electronic transactions, is connecting more than 10,000 endpoints. Banco de Brasil, is using wireless IP telephony to increase mobility and flexibility for the bank’s new offices in Brasilia. Alestra AT&T is deploying a mix of traditional and IP telephony for 2000 employees in its new, combined customer service and residential billing center.  Other recent announcements in the region include MetLife Mexico, GE Consumer and Industrial Argentina. 
 
EMEA: Honda UK chose Avaya IP Office and wireless networking solutions for it dealerships in the UK. The French credit giant Cofinoga, is migrating to IP telephony to link 30 locations to its main call center. Ernst and Young UK is deploying Avaya IP telephony for its UK headquarters. Others in EMEA include Bank of Ireland 365. 
 
Asia-Pacific: Rakuten, a Japanese eCommerce company with one of the country’s largest installations of IP Telephony, which is supported by Avaya IP telephony solutions. Toshiba has selected Avaya IP telephony for a 12,000 endpoint installation at its headquarters in Japan. AsiaInfo, a leading provider of high-quality software and solutions in China, is taking advantage of the most advance technologies in the industry with an Avaya IP-enabled solution that enabled greater mobility for the staff, increased efficiency and cut costs.
