The evening was soon kicked off by Marketing Manager Michael Latshaw, who presented the four partners of CTI with giant-sized pens for all the big work they plan to do in 2007. Michael then introduced CTI President Kenneth Heitner, who welcomed guests and provided a short dissertation on the subject of change.

"To be successful in life you must be able to change." Mr. Heitner said. "To succeed, we need to be looking forward, seeing the changes and moving quickly--not just to keep up, but also to keep ahead. Handled the right way, the ability to change gives us a distinct advantage over others who were not prepared for change." Mr. Heitner then spoke about the new ClearPath MVP product, which was the "big change" CTI would be rolling out a few months later. The addition of the new hosted solution to the company's portfolio makes CTI one of the first and only service providers to offer both a hosted and PBX solution, depending on the needs of the client.

After a brief comical interlude by Sales Engineer Joe Ben David, Mr. Heitner then began the awards portion of the evening. This year, a few new awards were added, including a special Sales Achievement Award, which was presented by CTI Sales Director Howard Shapiro to Alyse Brady and Stephen Murray "in recognition of outstanding sales achievement and contributing to the success of the NYC office."

Each year the CTI Management Team selects a few people from the organization to honor with an Outstanding Achievement Award. "These people set the standard for leadership, dedication and ability," Mr. Heitner said, citing past winners of the award.  "They have earned the respect and admiration of all those who come in contact with them - coworker and customers alike." The Outstanding Achievement Awards for 2006 were given to Allan Chen, Chris Llin, Doug Johnson, and Russell Miller. A new award for Top Salesman of the Year was given to Michael Schoolsky. And the top award of the evening, The Champion Award, was given to Gerry Supple, who "exemplifies the finest qualities of leadership and professionalism."

After the Awards ceremony, Guests were treated to an impressive sit-down dinner featuring Bobby Van's famous Filet Mignon. After much talking and laughing, not to mention some tantalizing desserts and coffee, it was time for the evening to come to an end. As guests left, they were each given a special goody bag, featuring an official CTI 10th Anniversary Bubble Gum Machine, a limited edition CTI Cartoon Memo Cube, a delicious giant Rice Krispie treat, and a copy of "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson MD.
