Consolidated Technologies, Inc. Provides IP Communications for the Newly Restored and Improved Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

In early November, after being out of the public eye since September 31, 2006, the newly restored Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Manhattan’s west side celebrated its Grand Reopening. To help the prestigious vessel during its $115 million restoration, Consolidated Technologies, Inc. was awarded the distinct honor of updating the phone system aboard the historic aircraft carrier, one of America’s leading cultural and educational institutions. The updated system will allow its infrastructure to meet a new set of more sophisticated demands being placed on the Museum in order to service the customer at the high level desired. 

With more than one million anticipated to visit the Intrepid each year, the new, more robust Avaya solution will allow the popular tourist destination to better handle the high call volume and empower its people to service their customers’ more efficiently. The implementation of Avaya’s Communication Manager Solution includes a new customer support call center and automated information services.  The addition of IP connectivity and mobility solutions provides for better communication and collaboration for the folks both on and off the ship.

Avaya Delivers New Proactive Outreach Solutions For Financial 
and Healthcare Industries   

 
Nov-2008 – Avaya has launched two new portfolios of customer service solutions for the financial and healthcare industries – Proactive Outreach for Financial Services and Proactive Outreach for Healthcare. These solutions help businesses use outbound communications and self service automation to drive new efficiencies, improve cost-savings and enhance customer experiences.
 
Outbound self service is a contact center technology that enables companies to deliver important information to customers – such as appointment reminders or bill payment requests – and let them complete transactions using automated menus or speech commands. Avaya's new Proactive Outreach portfolios provide outbound self service solutions that meet the needs of key vertical industries. The first two versions are available for financial and healthcare organizations, which are early adopters of this technology, according to analyst firm Datamonitor.
